Not over FLARM. FLARM is a different protocol and transmitting it legally requires a commercial licence, which we deliberately don't work around. The device does transmit ADS-L, so ground stations of the Open Glider Network and any aircraft carrying an ADS-L receiver see you, and other paraglider pilots see you on FANET. Yes, both directions, in the firmware it ships with. ADS-L Out puts your position on air for Open Glider Network stations and aircraft with an ADS-L receiver; ADS-L In shows those aircraft on your map. The same radio serves FANET and ADS-L in turn, so in the app you decide how much airtime ADS-L takes — the more you give it, the worse other paragliders see you on FANET. Transmitting needs a GNSS fix and a clock synced to UTC, which the app does on its own.

No. The app on your phone supplies the position; the device broadcasts it over FANET and receives other pilots. That's exactly why it barely needs charging.

Not yet — xcTrack and SeeYou Navigator don't support FANET. They read barometric pressure over Bluetooth and use the device as a fast vario. FANET traffic shows up in the FlyBeeper app (maps.flybeeper.com) and in LK8000.

maps.flybeeper.com — it works right in the browser, and the native Android app runs in the background with the screen off: it sends your position, shows pilots around you and can even act as a base station.

Rarely. About 20 h of active use without sun and roughly 10 % of charge per day in real use — the solar panel is sized to cover the active draw, so in sunlight there may be no discharge at all. Powered off, it holds charge for years.

Devices are built in batches. If one from the current batch is already built, flashed and tested, it ships within 1–3 business days; otherwise yours goes into the next batch — three to four weeks from payment, usually three. You get an email within a day of ordering with your real date, and you can cancel for a full refund any time before it ships.

A faulty device is repaired or replaced free of charge, and “free” includes the postage both ways — that is the law, not goodwill. What it does not cover is damage you caused: a crushed case, water, a lost device. I will still repair those, but the parts and the postage are yours, and I name the price before I start.
